King of the Pins 2008 KingPin - Darling Harbour, Sydney - 31st Jul 2008
Great night had by all in the inaugural King of the Pins – which for 2008 is Stephen McCulloch of the RICS – he scored the highest score of the night of 167!! Full results of scores can be viewed on our news page. Enjoy the pics.
CIBSE YEN - Young Engineers Network launch party The Bond, Sydney - 24th Jul 2008
The young engineer’s network will provide a frame work for a range of activities that will inspire and support young engineers already in the industry and encourage interest from others outside the building services profession.
The launch was a resounding success with over 100 industry leaders, and future leaders, attending the James Bond themed party at Bovis Lend Lease HQ “The Bond’.

To celebrate the last Q 08 we all went out to dinner in the City and then on to the Comedy Store. The MC was great and the band very funny. The headline act was rubbish! Margaret Thatcher is funnier!

110 people turned out for this very interesting seminar about the problems faced in boom towns in Dubai, India & China. The speakers were Simon Light from EC Harris, Ian Connolly from Cox Richardson Architects & Kurt Wagner from Savills PMs. This was a joint event organised by Conduit, AIQS & RICS………. Greg won Biller of the Quarter for the last quarter of 2007. As a result he was whisked away for a getaway for two to Darwin. What a way to spend the Easter long weekend!

Presentation of the Natural and the Falcon Award Conduit Office - 24th Jan 2008
The Peregrine Falcon is the fastest Bird on the planet. The Falcon Award is won by generating the fastest bill (invoice) from the day of start at Conduit. Ali beat Louise's record by 10 days, earning an invoice in 6 days of her being at Conduit.

We all sailed up from Sydney by yacht apart from Foni who arrived by seaplane! During lunch the awards were presented including biller of the year, rookie of the year, best dressed and many more! A really fantastic day.

FEMA Awards Dalton House - 14th Sep 2007
FEMA Awards was a long awaited event, filled with food, wine and an array of other recruitment as well as advertising companies. The evening began with drinks, then moving to meals as Adam Spencer presented the award ceremony. Although Conduit did not win any awards the evening was still enjoyed by all.

Welcoming Louise was made easier with a Thai Banquet in her honour. Since joining the team she has put smiles on many peoples faces. She has not only won The Pergraine Falcon Award and The Natural Award but has also brought fruit to work, made ice cream, makes cups of tea hourly, does all the cleaning, polishes the floor and is often the last to leave. We are all waiting for her head to explode!! Welcome Louise!!
Sales Day North Sydney Office - 20th Jun 2007
Sales day is a combination of four rounds of intense calling to place candidates, whoever has the most points at the end wins a grand prize. Firstly in the morning Andrew took the lead which he then turned to win the grand prize, katie failed having the lowest score overall therefore accepting the wooden spoon. A fun filled day plenty of sweets and treats!!!!

RICS Curry Night 2008 The Indian Palace, Balmain - 22nd May 2008
A great turnout for the now legendary curry night. However controversy exists around the winner of the lucky door proze provided by Conduit – a 15 year old bottle of whisky. Will Seabourne of CBRE won it by putting 15 business cards in the box. What a cheat! Thankfully he shared it around on the night – which is lucky otherwise he would have sent the boys round his house!! Kevin Tomkins of CBRE won the RICS lucky door prize – Bjorn Again at the Opera House

Janet, Rachel and Adam attended the RICS President's Breakfast and what an informative time it was! Building savvy, Global President of RICS David Tuffin gave an insightful synopsis of the impacts of the Credit Crunch in the English Markets and further comments were made by Stephen Ellis on the impacts it has in Australia.
A delicious breakfast accompanied by a global assesment makes for a perfect start to the week.

What a fun filled night it was! NAWIC definately created an ambience of end of year celebration, topped off with delicious nibblies and fine drinks. The NAWIC team reinforced the fact that it tis the season to be jolly and the Conduit team had the pleasure of attending.
It was definately a valuable event on the Conduit calender.
