Creation Date: Mon, 17 Oct 2011 GMT RICS Soccer CompetitionThe Conduit team pulled on their boots recently, to take on some of RICS members finest players, in Round 2 of their Soccer Competition held at Sydney's Domain playing fields. In perfect sunny conditions, Conduit started the competition well, taking out their first game in a solid display, however narrowly missed playing off in the semi finals after close losses in their following two games. One of Conduit's star imports, Joe Brownell, provided continuous attacking moves and was our lone goal score up front, whilst our other star import, Ray Auld, was rock solid in the mid field and combined well with Joe and Katie to set up opportunities that often just went wide of the post. The always reliable Greg Ford played an inspiring attacking defender role and proved quite handy in the goals aswell. Katie Kirkland menaced the backmen all day, and at one point nearly pulled off a spinning heel kick which would of made Messi proud. Once all was said and done, Conduit hung up their boots and made their way to Martin Place bar to congratulate CBRE, who eventually took out the final over Colliers, whilst last seasons finalists MBM, came a close third. Another fantastic RICS event, and we can't wait for the next competition.
